November 3 - December 30, 2006

About the Artist
Not only is Napa Valley home to good food and wine, many great artist call it home and among them German-born Sibylle Szaggars, internationally renowed abstract artist. As a youth, Szaggars was drawn to post-impressionist such as Gauguin and Van Gough and was a diligent student of their work and techniques. In the 80's Szaggars came to the US and immersed herself in the Native American cultures the powerful and spiritual connections of Arizona and the Hopi tribaltraditions. In the 90's after moving to Sundance her artistic focus turned to impending issues of extinction and environmental protection. In 2000, she traveled to Morocco where her new inspiration was the silent beauty, dignity and sensuality of the women, men and landscape of the desert. Szaggars electric breath of work has been exhibited in England, Germany, Peru, Japan and the US. This exhibit is the next layer in over two decades worth of truly artistically free and highly successful career.

About the Exhibit
Her new series of large painted abstracts called "Wonderous Possibilities" explores the freedom and wonder of undefined cellular possibilities for which this phenomenal artist is famous. Szaggars says of this body of work, "These works are non-fifurative inventions exploring the relationship between floating cellular objects and the space between them with color and texture creating life and energy."
