About the Exhibit
This body of work is about the process of creating, as well as a spiritual and transformative practice. It is an intimate reflection: in which I look deeply into nature, using elements of my contemplation and meditation practice that reference and align this conscious inquiry. I seek to understand my place in nature and discover how Nature's continual process of creation and transformation re-creates itself through me as creation. My intention is that you enjoy the works beyond their formal qualities. As you stop, take a breath and focus on each painting, you come to realize that you in fact have become the object on which you focus. In making the paintings, and having you look at them, I share with you in this powerful creative act. This relationship enables us to explore and understand the intimacy of shared humanness and makes us perceptive to the transformational and dynamic experience of creation.
