August 1 - August 31, 2007

About the Exhibit
Opening reception will be held on August 3, 2007, from 4 pm - 8:30pm.

In recognition of one of the most multidimensional artists of our time, the Joyce Gordon Gallery is proud to present "Glimpses in Time: A Juried Photography Exhibition in Honor of Gordon Parks. Parks touched the world in an exceptional way. His significant accomplishments as a world-renowned photographer, as well as journalist, filmmaker, novelist, poet, composer, and librettist, significantly impacted many generations of artists.

In May 2007, Joyce Gordon Gallery made an international open call to photographers to submit entries for the gallery's first annual juried photography exhibition. Stephen Wirtz owner of the prestigious Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco served as the juror for this exhibit. The gallery received entries from across the country and as far as Great Britain and South Korea. We are honored to present the selected photographs in this exhibit.

We sincerely thank all the photographers from around the US and worldwide that submitted such incredible work for this juried exhibition. The selection process was certainly a difficult one given the level of quality and talent among all the photographers.

Congratulations to all the photographers and award recipients!!
