About the Exhibit
Opening Reception:

Only a man whose resume reads, "former Air Force Test Pilot, America's first African American Astronaut Trainee, computer systems engineer, aviation consultant, restaurateur, real estate developer, and construction entrepreneur", can be best described as a true "renaissance man".
However, for the last twenty-five years, Ed Dwight has gained distinction as a world-renowned artist and sculptor. He is best known for his unique bronze sculptures reflecting the African-American experience and culture. Dwight's works are on display at major galleries and museums throughout the U.S., and have received critical acclaim internationally.
Dwight's newest works are paintings inspired by Africa and the superstars of the contemporary jazz era.
