About the Exhibit
This exhibit features a collaboration of paintings and poetry from Atlanta-based artist and art professor, Louis Delsarte, and award-winning, renowned poet and playwright, Ntozake Shange. Delsarte's series of paintings and mixed media abstract landscapes are inspired by Shange's poetry. The artwork moves through time and space creating a relationship between the multiculturalism of Cuba and the Harlem Renaissance reflected in 2006 images. In this exhibit, both the artist and the poet tell stories that reflect the unique energy, transition and movement of the African Diaspora.
